So I am new to dating sites and just wondered....

Do girls message first these days? Or do you wait for the guy to message you?

Tinder, either one can message first. There's no hard and fast rules.

Make sure your profile matches your intentions - I.e: do you want a relationship or a shag? Try to give clues lol!

In answer to your question though, I never messaged anyone first but mainly because I wasn't taking it very seriously and couldn't be arsed! I don't think there's anything wrong with taking the lead if you want to.

I'll mention something from their pics or profile, but keep it short. No point putting too much effort into it. Or just "hi" often works!
