So I am new to dating sites and just wondered....

Do girls message first these days? Or do you wait for the guy to message you?

Brace yourself for a world of internet weirdness

Tinder, either one can message first. There's no hard and fast rules.

Make sure your profile matches your intentions - I.e: do you want a relationship or a shag? Try to give clues lol!

If you're new to the world of internet dating I'd recommend the dating thread on here. Helped me massively when I was doing it and I made some lovely friends through it too!

In answer to your question though, I never messaged anyone first but mainly because I wasn't taking it very seriously and couldn't be arsed! I don't think there's anything wrong with taking the lead if you want to.
Good luck 🙂

Yea I'm not sure I'm a fan of it tbh.

I have matched with a few guys but only a couple have messaged so I'm not sure if I should message first or not!

All very new!

Also if you message first....

What the hell do you say? 😂

I'll mention something from their pics or profile, but keep it short. No point putting too much effort into it. Or just "hi" often works!
