So whenever I mention something to him about what he didn’t do, he comes up with
Tell him that, (adult son still at home, not his)
It’s really grating on me now, it’s nearly everyday he will bring son into it.
I told him today, why do you always bring xxxx into it when I’m talking about you.

It was about,
Son was upstairs watching tv, he came down (so obviously his bedroom door was left open). He got to bottom of stairs and he said
Turn that tv lower, he was sat near lounge door(open) I was behind it
I couldn’t hear it, as lounge tv was on. He then shouts at me, don’t undermine me , if I said I can hear it then I can and I’m not backing down on this one. I just told him to grow up

Then, I’m cooking tea kitchen door open into hall. Pans were on, so the steam got on the front door glass frame(kitchen window I’d just opened)
He goes and opens the front door, then starts going on about me previously mentioning about the steam and yet I was letting it happen
I was putting a roast dinner out quickly so it wouldn’t get cold, and he’s got the frigging front door open
I just said can I do anything right today, I said stfu.

It’s becoming a regular thing.
Turn the tv down
Tell him to do that as well
So now we’re not speaking, he thinks he can shout at me not let me get a word in to explain and then when he’s calmed down think everything is ok
I should of put the tea on his head, and he didn’t say thanks .

What an awful way to live. Why exactly are you staying with him and not getting rid ASAP?

SprinkleDash · 14/10/2019 00:37

If your adult son is allowed to get away with the things you call your partner out on, I do see why he would l be upset and mention it. If there are double standard happening it’s not fair. If not then he’s being an unreasonable twat!

Stop cooking and serving drinks to this person OP- why are you living in this way? Shouting isn't normal it's abusive.

It sounds like a horrible environment. Why is your adult son at home? Who's house is it?
