Ex is a prat

So... My ex is a complete prat, ran off with my best friend and ignored our teenage daughter for a year.. Now he's back, all happy with his life that he feels the need to tell me and his child everything he's up to with his gf and how happy they are, now I feel awful because I couldn't make him that happy and keep my daughter close to her dad.
