Just feel sick with worry

So this weekend marks the third week in a row that I am almost certain that my relationship is over. But when I think about the logistics I feel sick.
My 'p' has been in my life since he was 17. He lived with me and my mum and then just me when she moved out. He has no where to go and earns £900 per month, not even enough for a bedsit.
He is is solely responsible for paying our mortgage and I couldn't pay it without him. Also is it really fair that he should move out when neither of us has done anything really wrong? I mean he hasn't treated me great but I don't want him to only see his kids on weekends. They mean everything to him.
How do people do it?
