Is this a red flag?

My lovely mum has been swept off her feet by a very nice man, they’ve been together a few months and he booked a surprise trip abroad for them. They had an early morning flight so booked into the airport hotel. When they arrived he realised he hadn’t packed a new pair of shorts he’d bought for the trip. He had plenty of others to wear but instead drove a 3hr round trip to collect them leaving my mum in the hotel.

It seemed a really odd thing to do but I don’t really know if it’s a warning sign or just a quirk and driving that distance just didn’t bother him.

A three hour round trip for a pair of SHORTS? For necessary medication, your passport, yes, but for shorts? Who does this? Seems dodgy to me.

Maybe he forgot his little blue pills?

Summerunderway · 14/08/2019 17:56

Maybe he meant Viagra and didn't want to fess up....

He sure likes those shorts Grin

Aqueo517 · 14/08/2019 17:59

Ah! Yes maybe the shorts were a cover for medication or something he didn’t want to admit to. That makes more sense.

If it genuinely was shorts then what does that suggest about him? Control freak? I’m protective of my mum, she’s been through a lot in life so I’d like to know what to look out for!

One thing on its own - nowt there, likely just a quirk

On its own?

That you’re overthinking it.
