Emotionally abusive partner refusing to leave

I’m stuck in a relation with a narcissistic bully who treat my eldest daughter (not his) like dirt whilst my other 2 (his) are not.

He’s a shouting aggressive indirect bully and Iva had enough. All we do is argue infront of the kids and I literally hate being in my own home.

I’ve told him that I want to split and he’s said he will not leave as we have a joint tenancy (worst mistake of my life) I can’t take the kids into a refuge. So I’m stuck here until I can save enough to rent somewhere....

I’ve got bad credit which is slowly being repaired can anyone tell me of their experience of renting with poor credit history.

I’m now very financially stable and can afford to rent a reasonable priced place for us by about March I can save around £5000 to get us started but I’m so worried that we won’t be able to get anywhere.

I was thinking about applying for rejoining via my council but I know we wouldn’t be a priority so will take years

They should be able to give you some advice. He doesn't get to control you and tell you what you can and can't do xx

You may be able to rent with poor credit if you can pay a large sum of rent in advance. Maybe 6 months in advance, but you may scrape by with 3. You don't get if you don't try - so try and try and keep on until you get somewhere. Best of luck. Flowers
