Gray rock theory ? Yes or no?

My ex husband is still being an utter horror, three years after our divorce. Without going into detail other than he left me for the OW, he is now messing around with trying to lower maintenance.
His latest thing is to write to my lawyer with complete untruths and nasty, fabricated bollocks.
I'm so tempting to write a letter to him via my lawyer and ask what the hell he is playing at and why the lies, but on the other hand, should I go "Gray rock" and totally ignore it?
What would you do? It's very tempting to rip into him...

Absolutely ignore. I've had some horrid texts from my ex and I used to go crazy at him. I now ignore and I swear to god it's not only saved my sanity but it's given me power over him as he hates it.

Ignore. Obviously tell your lawyer the truth to keep on record but instruct them to ignore him too unless he takes you to court. Re maintenance - if it's CMS deal with them direct and give your evidence. If he harasses you by text or email or letter - screenshot it all and report him to the police who will tell him to stop and if he doesn't - charge him.
