Is there a good checklist, or road map for what we should do next, like who to inform, what to change...

Who is the higher earner?
Who is the main carer for the DC if you have any?
You need info on joint accounts
Savings accounts in either name or joint
Mortgage information
Asset info - houses, cars, ISA's etc..
Pension info for both of you
Wage info for both of you.
You will need your marriage certificate to sort out a divorce.
Mediation may be a good call if you are both quite amicable.
