Help - we are needing to relocate for my partner to have full time work. We have a 2.5yr old and are trying for baby number 2. He has been offered a great role in Timaru but I really can't get myself to like the place, on the other hand I would love to move back to Nelson and we might be able to get enough work but it wouldn't be as good or as stable as the Timaru role. Do we take the Timaru job and settle somewhere we don't like or do we move to the place we love but could struggle financially?? We are wanting this move to me long term - where we will put our kids through school etc so it is a big decision. Any advice would be greatly appreicated!

Try and get a hold of other expats who live there and see what they say.

Also go and visit if you can and see what you feel about the place.

Get as much info as you can

Thanks aussiebean, I have been to visit twice now and tried to convince myself to like the place but I still just really don't :-(
