My wife and I are going to start using our days where our daughter is in nursery to go on dates again, we have grown used to just sitting on the sofa watching TV. We want to be fun again.

We live in Yorkshire, I had planned our "first date" but then found out the place we going to go to doesn't open till 4.30 which is no good. I am looking for some advice as places we could go in our around Manchester, Chester, York, Leeds that would allow us to have fun, a laugh and generally have a fun day in a non parent role enviroment.

What kind of things do you enjoy, OP? If the weather ever picks up, Yorkshire Sculpture Park is always a good day out. Nice lunch/brunch and matinee at the theatre, perhaps? Kind of depends what you like to do together...

We like to eat out, and drink (no ideal to day drink with no sitter planned) we like have something planned to do, otherwise will just waste the day walking around looking for something todo. Mostly we like fun activities that will make one or both of use laugh.
