Fed up with ex

Getting to the point that I’m so exasperated with my ex.

We’ve been split for a little over a year & the lack of interest he has in our daughter infuriates me.

Originally he wanted to do 50:50 parenting - blatantly so he didn’t have to pay maintenance.

That lasted a couple of months before he started showing up late to pick her up from after school club & I got complaints.

Now he sees her 1 night in the week & every other weekend but he’s constantly trying to swap / reduce weekends & then I find out his Mum has had her on his one week night.

I know I won’t be able to change this behaviour & I have to suck it up but fuck it pisses me off how he gets to just fuck off, live his life how he wants to & I pick up all the pieces because I put my daughter first.

Grrrrrrr - rant over!

Call him out on it publicly in front of his family with dates as facts. And then wait for little change for a month. And finally apply for maintenance.

Hold your head up high. Don't resent him for being a deadbeat. He's a turd.

Please tell us you're claiming all the maintenance you've got coming? Have you got diaries re: contact and late pick ups? See what you've got in emails, texts, what the after school club can give you. Make a folder. Then you're ready if he causes trouble due to a maintenance claim.

He’s currently paying me £30 a month maintenance despite earning six figures. I’ve applied through the CMS for a reconsideration taking into account his limited company earnings but it can take up to 6 months for them to make a decision.

He’s just literally taking the piss out of me & my daughter & showing how little he cares about any of it - whilst I hold the fort!

I hope not, that would take a catheter.

Do you have a solicitor?

bobbybella · 04/07/2019 21:39

You are in the money!! I get £16 odd from my ex!

SandyY2K · 04/07/2019 23:46

£30 a month and he's on 6 figures!

What a tightfisted selfish specimen he is.
