NC because some of my other posts are possibly identifying and want to protect friend

I learned recently that a friend's husband left her and 3 dc for another woman - in pretty horrible circumstances. Apart from being shocked at how truly awful he is it's hit the family pretty hard. What can I do to suport her and dc? Obviously there to talk etc and have offered practical help but she's very proud and I suspect might not ask or let on she needs support. So anything specific anyone could suggest?

Take her out for a change of scenery. I wish my friends would have offered that.
