Girlfriend dancing with someone else whilst I'm stood there ...unacceptable?

My girlfriend and I have been together for 3 months.
Only problem is when she is drunk she checks out other women.
Saturday night we were out together on the dance floor.
A girl in a skirt was dancing next to us and my girlfriend starts trying to dance with her.
Then she starts talking to other women at the bar.
It makes me so annoyed.
I'm thinking In my head "hello I'm here you know"
I could be dressed up looking nice and she still does it.
I honestly feel not got enough.
Would you be hurt too?

No

Haworthia · 03/07/2019 15:31

A girl IN A SKIRT?

Would it have been better if she’d had jeans on?

trytrytry · 03/07/2019 15:32

Meaning she was dressed sexy ..so immediately she has her eyes all over her.

Is she just being sociable or actively flirting?

If the former, then YABU, but if she's openly flirting with other people in front of you then YANBU.

Trouble is, she may see it as just being sociable but you're perceiving it as flirting.

rvby · 03/07/2019 15:37

No this wouldn't bother me but I'm sure you could find many people who wouldn't like it.

If it bothers you, you two probably arent suited. Please dont moan at her and try and make her different from who she is normally in order to please you.

trytrytry · 03/07/2019 15:38

She is a very social person.
She will talk to anybody but it's hard to know if she fancies them or not.
It does drive me crazy, maybe I can get used to it.

Are you very young? This all sounds very teenagerish.

FriarTuck · 03/07/2019 15:40

She sounds like my ex so I get what you mean. It's not that she's having a platonic dance with another person (perfectly acceptable), it's that she's flirting with someone else and, just to make it worse, in front of you to show she doesn't care. I was hurt and I'd suggest you walk away. Find someone who doesn't feel the need to flirt with anyone after a few drinks.

Wolfiefan · 03/07/2019 15:40

If you’re not mature enough to cope with your girlfriend talking to someone else then you’re not mature enough for a relationship. Hmm

trytrytry · 03/07/2019 15:40

No we aren't young.
What's teenagerish about your GF possibly trying it on with other women in front of you?

A girl in a skirt

LOG IT WITH 101.

FriarTuck · 03/07/2019 15:41

You don't have to get used to it. If this was a thread by a straight woman everyone would be going LTB.....

trytrytry · 03/07/2019 15:41

@Wolfiefan it isn't just talking.
She will be looking them up and down and trying to dance really close.
I wouldn't personally do that when my GF is stood there.

OP posts:
trytrytry · 03/07/2019 15:42

@FriarTuck yes!! To me it's because she fancy's them.
It's always attractive women
If it was so platonic why doesn't she have a platonic dance with a man.

OP posts:
Nesssie · 03/07/2019 15:47

OP are you male or female?

trytrytry · 03/07/2019 15:51

@Nesssie female

Nesssie · 03/07/2019 15:55

Ok, sorry just trying to work out if you were male and worried your gf was bi etc or if it was a jealousy/trust thing.

If she was openly flirting then I wouldn't like it tbh. Does it only happen on nights out, or in every day life?
3 months in and issues already, I'd acknowledge you are different people and move on.

rvby · 03/07/2019 15:57

It's not meant to be this difficult, don't continue the relationship. It's been 3 months and you've realised she's not for you. FGS don't try to "get used to it" Hmm

Krisskrosskiss · 03/07/2019 16:03

You sound very different to each other. I think you should end the relationship because you obviously have different standards of what's acceptable behaviour within a relationship. What shes doing doesnt sound that wrong but if it upsets you you should find a girlfriend who agrees with you about dancing with other people. You need to be on the same page as your partner or you'll always be miserable...and people dont change. You wont ever feel better about it and she wont change her behaviour.

Wolfiefan · 03/07/2019 16:11

Looking at someone. Fine.
Dancing near fine.

If you are saying she’s rubbing up on strangers and leering at them with her tongue hanging out then I can see your problem. But you say she talks to and dances with. Really not an issue.
And always. You’ve hardly been together a few weeks. Confused

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 03/07/2019 16:48

What's teenagerish about your GF possibly trying it on with other women in front of you?

Umm, exactly that^^. That’s exactly what is teenagerish, the immaturity the oozes from such a scenario. No one with an ounce of emotional maturity would do that to their girlfriend.

trytrytry · 03/07/2019 18:52

I personally don't think it matters if it's 3 months or 3 years.
If you like someone you don't want to make them feel like rubbish.

AnyFucker · 03/07/2019 18:58

Does your girlfriend sleep in the same bed as other women too ?

colourlessgreenidea · 03/07/2019 19:09

A girl in a skirt

Shock Shock Shock Shock

Floozy Angry

Onemansoapopera · 03/07/2019 19:12

She's either incredibly low on self esteem so doing it purposely to make you jealous and insecure or she loves herself and doesn't care if it's disrespectful to you standing there whilst it's happening....she sounds a bit of a dick tbh. Next time she does it I would just walk away and go home and let her work out like a grown up why her actions are rude and pathetic.
