Moving On

Hi All,
Not posted for a while
Just need some help right now
Its been almost 4 years since my ex moved out, and then almost immediately moved in with her new man.
She seems blissfully happy from what ive been told, which im glad about as despite everything I wish her no ill will.
We had 3 kids between us, though none together.
Most of the time I do OK, but birthdays, special occasions are hard.
I'm just struggling recently to keep it all together. I genuinely thought we would be together for ever - seems stupid I know
Any advice would be appreciated. ( We were together for 12 years )

Have you dated since she left? If not, you need to get yourself back out there!

It's horrible when our brains make us think we've found "The One" and they turn out to be anything but.

Distractions and dating is the best advice I can give for your situation.

Think of it as "moving forward " and not "moving on" . Some people are just not meant to be in our lives forever .

ive tried dating, but im so out of practice.
ive had two 10+ year relationships so its been a while.

i thought i might meet someone through my hobbies but haven't.
i tried PoF but never met anyone suitable.
Has anyone tried "meet up" or other friendship groups ?

The Meet Up groups are full of women - men very much in the minority ( depending on group obviously) so it would certainly be a good place for you to meet women . Lots of walking and social events on . Try it !
