Hopefully a straightforward Whatsapp question - if I can see someone's Last Seen Status, does that mean I have definitely NOT been blocked by them?

Sorry incomplete info, the last seen time has not updated since this morning so still says this morning's time - or at least did i til 4.30 when i deleted them off my phone so I could not torture myself any longer.

No. Not definitely. Blocking doesn't always work on WhatsApp and sometimes their 'last seen' status is still showing and sometimes even messages can get through.

Any messages sent to a contact who has blocked you will always show one check mark (message sent), and never show a second check mark (message delivered).

Yes, if someone blocks you, you wouldn't see their last seen time. But it goes without saying that if you have to ask if someone's blocked you, stop wasting your energy and find someone who doesn't mess with your head Flowers I should really follow my own advice

I had a friend who blocked someone. He showed me, she was definitely 'blocked' but still showed her 'last seen' time and he still received a couple of messages from her whilst she was blocked.

I have another friend who experienced the same. I have to say, I didn't believe this friend until the other one showed me!

It is terrible, I have completely deleted them and no longer have their number, but am dying now to sneak on and see if their last seen has updated and maybe they genuinely were off it all day! Am kicking myself now. But yes, complete head melter so am better off out of it. Thanks everyone xx

I think WhatsApp can be inconsistent. Maybe it depends on what version or device you're using, updates etc

I have the ‘last seen’ function turned off, can’t stand the thought of someone checking when I’ve last been using the app! I then don’t get to see anyone else’s ‘last seen’... thank goodness.

The way I would know that I am blocked is the person’s profile picture disappears. Nice and easy.
