I fancy the postie!

Hello!

So I'm new to mumsnet. Long time lurker. I'm a 30yo single mum with two daughters.

I'll get straight to it. I order quite a lot of things online so the postie knocks on my door quite often. It's only been recently however that we started talking. Nothing much, just a bit of small talk and maybe light flirting? Hard to tell!

Today was lovely. He knocked this morning and as I answered my little yorkie ran out and he ran after her, picked her up and brought her back. Seems silly but a little gesture like that really meant a lot!

Anyway, I'm hopeless at taking initiative with these sorts of things. I have no idea if he's single and don't really know how to go about finding out?

I saw him today for the first time since he left his number. I felt rather awkward initially answering the door to him but that feeling went once we got chatting. Maybe it's just me but he seemed a bit nervous, as well. It was like there was an elephant in the room until we eventually talked about next Tuesday. He's still on for it and said he's looking forward to it. I said I am too. Bless him though he said he wasn't sure if he'd done the right thing by leaving his number and that it was such a relief when I sent him a message! I said I'm really sorry for taking so long with it and it was because I was so taken back by it. He said it's totally fine :)

He said he won't be on my round monday so I'll next see him Tuesday!

I'm really trying not to make such a big deal out of this, but it's been so long since I've done anything like this and I fancy him a lot more now so it's making it very difficult to not see this as a big deal!

Venting it all here helps though x

@sophie89101 - vent away! Sounds like he was being brave leaving his number as were you inviting him in. Sounds like your both on the same page. I’m getting good feelings about it.

You’ll be able to have a proper catch up on Tuesday and find out all about one another.
