I fancy the postie!

Hello!

So I'm new to mumsnet. Long time lurker. I'm a 30yo single mum with two daughters.

I'll get straight to it. I order quite a lot of things online so the postie knocks on my door quite often. It's only been recently however that we started talking. Nothing much, just a bit of small talk and maybe light flirting? Hard to tell!

Today was lovely. He knocked this morning and as I answered my little yorkie ran out and he ran after her, picked her up and brought her back. Seems silly but a little gesture like that really meant a lot!

Anyway, I'm hopeless at taking initiative with these sorts of things. I have no idea if he's single and don't really know how to go about finding out?

Thank you!

Spill the beans OP 😃

Bodd8 · 21/08/2019 14:59

I like to think they're on a beach on a tropical island somewhere drinking pina coladas on their honeymoon.

opinionminion · 21/08/2019 15:33

The suspense is killing me !

Windmillwhirl · 21/08/2019 15:48

Perhaps it didn't go so well and the op doesn't want to come back and feel like she let those over- invested in the thread down.

PumpkinP · 21/08/2019 20:48

I agree,
Perhaps it’s better to leave this thread rather than keep bumping it as I’m sure if the op wanted to come back to it she would and it might be a constant annoying reminder to see it being bumped if things didn’t work out!

Place marking!

Remember, ladies...the postman always rings twice Wink.

I need to know the ending!! Such a lovely start to a romance. Please come back OP. Even if it was just a quick roll around in the sack of letter or early breakfasts before he starts his rounds.

Actually I might just write a fanfic ending 😂

Frownette · 22/08/2019 20:35

She'll come back if she wants to

JasperTheFriendlyGhost · 23/08/2019 16:26

guessing it didn’t work out. sorry op

JeffreyJefferson · 27/09/2019 21:54

update pls

OgwdihwO · 13/11/2020 21:40

Came across this thread by accident! Be keen to know how it’s going a year on!

carreterra · 13/11/2020 22:01

OP, I fell for a postie back in 2004, he oozed charm & lovebombed. Now 16 years on, I wish I had never met the lying, narcissistic, grumpy, complex old git.
BEWARE THE CHARMER !!!

Cavagirl · 13/11/2020 22:20

Oh man this is the cruellest thread revival ever - I'm usually a stickler for checking dates - I was so involved I didn't even wonder why OP was offering him lemonade to cool down in the middle of November...
Really think there should be an option where posters can request MNHQ contact the OP for an update!! What happened?!?!

Angelfish2021 · 13/11/2020 23:52

Same here @Cavagirl I was thinking she really shouldn't be inviting him inside her house in a pandemic 😂😂

CASCASCAS · 14/11/2020 02:45

Love this post. But what happened?

ClaraMumsnet · 14/11/2020 20:56
