Parents and Inheritance

Are there any people out there who only see both of or one of thier parents out of duty not love because they know that if they went no contact would be cut out of thier will. Have they used this to manipulate and be nasty to you. Have you gone no contact anyway because they treated you badly and you don't want to be at thier beck and call now they are older. Or have you just soldiered on being the dutiful child because society deems it not natural to have anything to do with them.

No not writing an article I was just interested in people's thoughts on the matter. I was chatting with a friend of mine as she is really overwhelmed and making herself unwell trying to keep her family life okay as well as having demanding parents and have basically been told by them that if she doesn't look after them in thier doteage they will write her out of thier will. Me I have already been written out of my parents will and don't see them anymore so my situation is the opposite. She doesn't like her parents and says she is only doing what she dies for them basically in the hope that she will financially gain....although I did point out that she was making herself ill and at this rate they would probably outlive her.
