Can anyone recommend a book to save a marriage?

Posted earlier about pregnant sister and her dh having serious relationship troubles to the point where he left over the weekend.

Nothing has happened exactly (like an affair etc) however they have never had an easy marriage IYKWIM. Mainly communication problems I think, made worse now by the fact neither of them are that upset that their relationship is at breaking point.

Just wondering if anyone has got through problems like this? Have suggested counselling to them but was wondering if there are any books that could help or any other ideas?

Men are from Mars and Women are from Venus helps understand men a lot better... also
Why Men Don't Listen and Women Can't Read Map (I think that's the correct title)

Some of the Relate ones are actually quite good, if you pick the bits out that are relevant

Relate one: Staying together: From crisis to deeper commitment.

We did, and we have best £7 I ever spent.

the four gifts of love, Willard F,Harley.....fab book to sit down together and get a chat going about what is important to you and whats important to him, and defining exactly what you are trying to say....really uncomplicating and quite rewarding..

The Secret of Happy Parents by Steve & Sahron Biddulph, very good general stuff about relationships as well as surviving as parents.

The Marriage Book is very good. They work through seven key areas - including communication, resolving conflict, forgiveness, parents and in-laws, good sex and understanding your differences - to help couples understand each other.

if they have small children "Babyproof your marriage" is excellent

good luck
