Forgiven boyfriend after leaving me pregnant... now he’s browsing on a dating app?!?

My boyfriend left me at 7 months pregnant. He returned when our son was 8 months old, no explanation but full of promises and a heart felt apology. We built bridges, became exclusive and over the last 3 months we have built a strong happy family unit.

Fast forward to today - he has been caught actively using a dating app, requesting to meet and ‘favouriting’ a profile.

I confronted him. At first he denied using the app, but I have been sent screen shots. Now he’s saying he didn’t meet anyone he just looked on there. He has deleted the app and says he misses me and wants to see me.

What on earth do I do?!? Is this cheating? My head is fried!!!

Yes it is. He is still looking for someone "better". Obviously the last didn't work out so he came back, he'll do it again when someone else comes along. If you keep allowing it, it will keep happening. Where was he all those months before he came back? Seems a long time to be gone to just let him back in.

I totally agree with TooManyPuppies. If he's done it before, and you've now caught him actively using a dating app, there a huge possibility he's going to do it again. You are better than that, don't let him do this to you! It is cheating, he is literally looking online for other women to 'meet' or you know what

Thanks for your response! I’m sending myself crazy here. He’s been calling me an idiot telling me to go back to my dates. When he left my confidence was very low. I went on a lot of dates trying to fill his presence. I was honest about this but now he’s using it against me.

The period that he was away - he told me he’d buried his head and responsibilities and kept busy with work and friends. He said he didn’t have the nerve or heart to contact me after being so unsupportive while pregnant. Funnily enough he got back in touch with me through the same dating app. Currently banging my head off a wall.

Also while he was away he was with somebody else - although he didn’t tell me himself , I heard this from his brother who said he was with this girl every day for months and months. But when I bring it up now he says he doesn’t know where this has came from and he wasn’t in any such relationship with another girl?

He sounds like a particular ex of mine, and the best thing I did was move on and I'm now with the most respectful, loveliest man I've ever known and cannot believe I was so forgiving to the last now I look back on it!!! He knows he's in the wrong as he's gotten defensive and pushing the blame on to you by mentioning you dating!! Honestly, he's bad news. Bang his head off a wall not yours lol.

RLEOM · 28/05/2019 22:36

You don't know why he left you or you don't know why he returned?

His behaviour is not of someone who is fully committed. He may love you, but, without sounding mean, you're not enough for him. He clearly enjoys the excitement of the chase.

Do yourself a favour and get rid. Find a man who feels blessed to have you in his life. ❤

There is no reasonable choice here, other than to leave him, and move on.

My first LTB..... honestly he’s playing you.

When he left my confidence was very low. I went on a lot of dates trying to fill his presence.

And he knows that because of your lack of confidence, he can do what he wants and get away with it.

Your child is not even 1, focus on him and yourself and not going on dates or replacing this tool. Pull up your big girl pants, realise your self worth and stop letting him walk in and out your life, get rid or this will just keep happening.
