Sorry if I am posting this in the wrong place!

My partner and I want to marry next spring/early summer and I want to get an idea of how much your wedding budget was?

Neither of us want anything over the top and happy to DIY/second hand stuff where possible.
Thank you x

It was about 5k for near 70 people for a saturday wedding in october, mum bought my wedding dress so that's not included (got a beautiful simple dress for £199 from an outlet shop). we live in lancashire but didnt like many of the options nearby so got married in yorkshire which was cheaper and as everyone had to travel anyway no one minded.
We saved by doing lots of diy, having silk instead of fresh flowers and we haggled on the package the hotel offered as we wouldn't use everything in it, getting married out of season gets you more haggling power for sure.

1990shopefulftm that sounds exactly like the wedding day/ budget I'm aiming for... Maybe a little more with 10+ guests.
I'm pleased it can be done!

Our wedding cost £420 pounds ...

£130 register office fees
£65 wedding breakfast fry up for 9
£125 flowers (serious extravagance)
£20 on a new top for me
£80 on a new top for now DH

£10k for 100 people in the South West. Had quite a posh venue, but kept costs down by having a Sunday wedding with no evening do, and home made dress, wedding cake and wedding rings (cousin is a jeweller, we covered cost of materials).

@RealBee85
It took some research and i had a spreadsheet to keep track of everything but we didn't have to make any big compromises and had the day we wanted.

We had a Sunday October wedding in the south west, very nice country estate venue followed by a reception at a country park, 133 guests, 5k. (We wanted to be able to invite everyone we wanted, so we compromised on costs in other areas.)

That was in a fantastic venue (estate house) in the Lake District by the way! 🙌 it was AMAZING! when we walked in we thought it would be out of our price range as it was so gorgeous but it was soooo reasonable 💕👍
