Mood swings at that time

I currently live with my b/f of 6 years and everything is great. He's a great guy, works hard and probably does the majority of the house work. I can't complain.

Problem is at that time of month my mood swings can be really terrible to live with. I just feel rotten for a 4/5 days and want to be left alone.

I can't help it but almost every month I take it out on him to the point we can go for 3/4 days without talking. It's ruining things and I don't mean to be like that but can't seem to help it.

I think he's getting really fed up with the situation and has told me he doesn't deserve to be treated like this.

Help, any suggestions?

How about a trip to the GP? The pill? What are you currently doing to help ease the symptoms?

You have my fullest sympathies OP, but there's lots of things out there to try.

I've had the same. The only thing that helps me is taking high strength Starflower oil pills everyday. Takes a month or two to kick in, but by God it's so freeing not to feel murderous every month.

Agnus castus PMS relief from boots.
Yoga with Adriene in the morning (you tube 15 mins or so)
A walk in the fresh air for an hour.
Do these every single day.

You can't help how you feel. But you CAN help how you behave. Hormones / mood swings / whatever aren't an excuse for taking it out on the person you supposedly love.

Agnus Castus made a huge difference to my mood swings. Actually, i take a combination pill containing calcium and magnesium, and a vitamin d supplement along with the agnus castus and this combination really made a huge difference to my moods. I'm at a point where I don't feel any pmt other than a crashing tiredness a day or 2 before.

Thanks for the suggestions. If my only side effect was tiredness I would love that.

My bad moods and taking it out on him for no reason seems to be destroying things. Feel like we are simply living from one mood to another 😢
