Out of interest, what is acceptable to you regarding
Your partner/ husband/ boyfriends contact with his female best friend. What are your limits in terms of what you will accept in your relationship .ta.

Well if he's not that attentive to you at this stage of your relationship, it's never going to happen.

If I were in your position, I'd just tell him the relationship isn't working for you and end it. You don't need to make a big drama..... just cut your losses while it's still early.

You sound like my ex, the reason he is an ex is because like you he was bitter, jealous and controling.

lifeisarollercoaster11 · 21/05/2019 16:31

Is there a need to be nasty ? I simply feel threatened by their intensity and contact. Am I being bitter because of that?

I think the point is, if you are feeling threatened by this, then he is not the man for you.

What I don't understand is why you're determined to pursue things with someone who you think is besotted by someone else, whose phone you're already checking, who you don't trust.

Why do you think this is worth the pain? Have you ever experienced a relationship where you've felt secure and like the other person is totally into you?

lifeisarollercoaster11 · 21/05/2019 18:27

No I haven't really I guess . When we're getting
On well, I really think there could be a future but I have to ask if she will
Always be in the back of his mind ?

If you knew for sure that this is the level of contact it would stay at , would you accept it?

Furrydogmum · 21/05/2019 18:42

It is how you feel that matters, if you think the relationship is inappropriate then that is different to him texting a friend however regularly.. One of my best friends is male, we have text volleys that go on all day sometimes, followed by radio silence for days on end. All messages end with a kiss but not adoring messages of love.. He is my friend, nothing else and my dh knows that - he is also friends with him but their texts don't (afaik) end with kisses. If you're happy together you should be able to talk about this..

Well that's a bloody shame, and you should keep looking for someone who does make you feel secure and that they're totally into you.
