Unasked for match making oddness. Single?

Feeling pretty bummed. As a single parent a lot of couples try to set me up/fix my single status even if this has been unasked for. (I am happy as I am).

I’ve had a group of friends that I thought I really gelled with but it seems as though I’d only been invited for the benefit of a particular bloke.

They started dropping hints but I am always very clear - no thanks/happy as I am/don’t feel like that about him.

He proceeded to message and send quite emotionally manipulative texts to get me to date him (wanted to go on dates with my dds ffs).

I am assertive but kind - no thanks, not interested, happy as I am etc.

Guy obviously takes offence and is a little grouchy. Seeing him weekly in passing, I just give a breezy/friendly hello as I’m aware we’re part of a friendship group (also I’ve done nothing wrong!)

I have been told last weekend that it’s too awkward to invite me to pub because of this guy. I have been nothing but honest, mature & pleasant about the whole thing (that wasn’t a thing!)

After 3yrs of friendship with other members of the group, Its just sad.

I know the answer is to keep moving & have a friends upgrade but I can’t help but feel pissed off at the whole situation.
