Is it fair to rather go somewhere different on holiday than the places either of you have been with ex?

Unless one of you owns a holiday home I can’t see any good reason for re-visiting places that you’ve previously been to with ex-partners. That being of course resorts or cities rather than the actual country. There are too many great places to explore to need to go back IMO.
