Hi i just need a little advice if possible or anyone who has been in a similar situation.

Im currently in a relationship of 8 years with 2 children. I am currently living in a council property with my partner who is also on the tenancy agreement however we are not seeing eye to eye and our relationship has broken down tremendously and i think its safe to say its over on my part. But my partner thinks different even tho he knows it isn't working out he is determined that he isn't going anywhere as in he is not leaving the house. Its put me in a situation where i have had to take the kids and stay at my parents because our constant arguing is effecting the children. What can i say and do? If he doesn't leave? as he is on the tenancy do i just have to live with it?

Thanks

I'd get some advice from Shelter if I were you. england.shelter.org.uk/get_help

Isn't the best course to talk to the council? I'm sure it isn't a new problem to them and they must have established procedures? Maybe Shelter or CAB first?
