Thank you.

Thank you for being normal, reasonable, empathetic, sensitive women who- desire being painted as 'insert adjective here' (bipolar/issues/alcoholic/liars) '- actually turned out to be normal, honest, beautiful women just like me...

Thank you for bringing me closure through our contact, and for being beautiful women, inside and out.

Thank you for your support. Thank you for your your validation. Thank you for being brave and honest and open.

I used to fear 'The Exes'. Now I realise that they're ME - in a different postcode.

If only we'd talked sooner.

Reminded me of a poem

Poor girl, by Maya Angelou

You've got another love
and I know it
Someone who adores you
just like me
Hanging on your words
like they were gold
Thinking that she understands
your soul
Poor Girl
just like me.

You're breaking another heart
and I know it
And there's nothing
I can do
If I try to tell her
what I know
She'll misunderstand
and make me go
Poor Girl
just like me.
You're going to leave her too
and I know it
She'll never know
what made you go
She'll cry and wonder
what went wrong
Then she'll begin
to sing this song
Poor Girl
just like me.

Bloody hell @Shoxfordian ...thank you.

This is a tale as old as time. I'm nearly 40, an otherwise intelligent woman...and yet....

Thank you. Xx

That's alright
He'll always be a knob and you've had a good escape
