Just taken first tablet today and quite scared of all the horror stories of side effects.
Can anyone give any feedback of experiences?

DS1 tKes it and there are no side effects that he'll admit to. No detriment to appetite as he continues to put on weight.

I take 40mg a day, have done so for about 12 years. Sex drive is only side effect. Without them I'm a tearful, terrified empty glass.

Tiredness, I'd come home from work, have dinner then sleep on the sofa from 7 until gone 2am when I'd go to bed and sleep until morning. I used to be woken by DH to answer a phone call and I'd fall back asleep mid conversation. At weekend I'd manage about 8 hours awake time out of 48. That was over the period of a year.
I stopped taking them when I had DD.

@Lunagirl44
Can't you just take two 20mg a day? That's what I do

Lunagirl44 · 17/03/2019 07:50

@hedgehogblues yes that's what i had to do. I had to suggest this to my pharmacy as they told me to go back to docs and change my tablets to something completely different smh!Hmm all sorted now thank God.

I didn't notice the first couple of weeks were particularly side effect ridden. Once they kick in - wow! It was so good to feel normal again. Not high, not unrealistically happy, just normal.
However, long term side effects - they gave me heartburn so made sure I took it after food. Easy fix.
They made me sweat like crazy morning, noon and night. This really pissed me off.
Reaching the big O was impossible.
I'm getting by without them now.
All the best. I hope you feel better soon.

Did a good job of lifting my mood- improved to feeling empty(!)- but I had difficulty sleeping, which was quite debilitating.

I'm really struggling with an upset stomach and crippling anxiety attacks. I feel like I am struggling to face the world and about ten times worse than I did before I took them. I've been prescribed these for peri menopause symptoms; mood swings and night sweats.
Have made an appointment to see the doc again tomorrow but I am really not feeling comfortable about taking another tablet today
