This really made me smile and with everyone so unhappy on this relationship board, I thought I could offer some hope...

It was my GrandParent (inlaws) 65th wedding aniversary the other day!

I rang them last night to ask if they got my flowers etc, and had a quick chat.

I asked Muriel how they got on so well, Did they ever argue?

She chuckled, said they were first married in the war, they were far too concerned whether Bill would come home from work alive in the evenings, there would make no sence argueing.

She then asked how DP and I are getting on, I chortled and sniffed at her, to which she giggled more (she's 90 odd) and said, you must never go to bed on an argument, Bill was always very good at making up before we went to sleep!!!

Made me feel all happy, as they are ill and old now, but they were young and in love, and it makes me really happy

good point about never going to bed on an arguement.
