Husband searching for day use hotels..

Hi,

So my husband has been a bit 'offy' and just not seeming him.

Curiosity got the best of me and I found he had been searching for hotels to stay in during the day. As in during his work hours.

Thinking the worst. Am I right, or could there be an explanation?

Not brought it up with him just yet, but I have taken photos of the searches.

I use Dayrooms. Clients usually book them to meet me.
Phoning would be a waste of time as would checking bank details.
You can use any name when booking and pay cash when you check in. Some guys take the money out over a few days so they aren;t suddenly withdrawing £100's.

there are many tools and tricks that can be used to restore a browsing history, it may be something worth googling, specially worth looking into for your situation when you have a specific date in mind,

@Pavlova31 thank you for he support. Really did not know what to expect back when I posted. I am actually a little overwhelmed with how helpful and kind everyone is being. Not that they wouldn't be. But wasn't sure I would get a response!

You mentioned voicemail. Mine doesn't say I'm a hooker, it's very professionally sounding.

My plan is to see if I can find anything else. Then, regardless I will make sure my ducks are in a row, followed by confronting him.

As someone else mentioned, you can walk into the bank and ask for print outs of the past few months' statements (or longer) if you can't access online.

You have a sound plan. You can do this.

Can you phone the bank and ask for paper statements

Has he been 'cash backing' at supermarkets ( single item like a bottle of wine and £50 quid a time ) do you normally do the shopping ? so this would stand out as an irregularity.

Are you sure this isn't for meeting rooms in hotels during the day? I use them all the time as we're short of available meeting rooms.

I am sorry you are going through this. If he can treat you this way then you're better off without him in the long run. Keep your head held high. You will get through this.

P.S. If you post that it was all a misunderstanding then we'll all wind our necks in and (eventually) see the funny side.

Don't know what phone your H has but my android phone has google maps and it tracks me.

So if he has google maps, open it, top left 3 horizontal bars and chose "your timeline" and it opens to today. Choose the calendar icon to choose any other day.

Be aware it can be a few streets out sometimes but it is fairly accurate. It will tell you if he was at work that day.

I hope it is really innocent reason he was looking.

Thanks, @YouokHun my post undoubtably sounded that way. And fell reading Mumsnet previously I know people have no decision or control is not a rarity.

@theworldistoosmall tried google, yes. Nothing comes up. It says a business name which is in my husbands realm of work. If that makes sense? So likely a client. But he has a work phone and never needs to use his personal phone for calls. Especially this one call which was made during a work day.

He was on the dayuse.com site. That's solely bedrooms.

I always use my personal phone by accident instead of my work one so just bear that in mind.

I would just say you don’t really have anything other than a search for rooms to go on. I would urge caution. I know what it looks like but it’s not much to go on is it.

@MixedMaritalArts very possibly. I do the shopping. But he could easily do this as a cover up. When I look through the statements I am pretty sure I will be able to tell. The only problem will be if he uses his other cars, which are only in his name. Which would be a lot smarter of him than he joint account.

@showmeshoyu Yehp 100% he can use hotel bars, he goes to restaurants for meetings at least twice a week, or to offices. He has so many options. No reason other than the obvious as to why he would need a hotel room during the day.

@DKmamma oh my goodness imagine if there was a good explanation for this  i would of course let you all know and let us have a laugh if that is the case..

@SoupOnMyTableNowSir he has an iPhone. When I found the links I tried to see if there was a way of looking at his location (location settings on) but I couldn't find anything.

@rytonsister in his kind of work this is not uncommon. He's told me he stories. So sounds like it could be that.

@longtimelurker231 & @user1457017537 I really hope it is a misunderstanding. But I am looking for more evidence so I have more than just that to go on, I agree it's not much. But not great either.

With google maps it has to be set to save your searches.

Why do the papers do that? Not to be mean or anything but this isn't even a "juicy" thread. There's no conclusion; they're just trying to stir up more trouble!

All can be explained away. Phone number - was for work purposes, for this or that reason....
Hotel search - wanted to surprise you, dear W with a sneaky date for Valentines...
Etc.

So - if you need proof - you’ll need to lie low and wait.
DayUse is also an app. And card use isn’t needed - can be paid with cash.
If I were you - look for a different email account too. People tend to set up separate ones to not get caught that way.
