Please try and picture the scene, we come home and there is a HUGE wasp in the kitchen, I am mortally afraid of wasps to the point where I have litrally ran out in front of a car before today to avoid a wasp coming near me.

Anyway this one was huge and DP didn't exactly like the look of it either but neither of us would go into the kitchen to try and catch/kill it so we stood about watching it for around 10 minutes whilst deciding what to do.

In the end it decided to sit on a cup that was on the kitchen table, DP managed to put a book on the top of it capturing it in the cup, he then went into panic mode running through the house with it which then sent me into a frenzy trying to get away from him (he has been known to throw frightning creatures at me before today such as spiders etc), anyway as he ran towards the door I ran in the opposite direction and he screamed at me "well open it then!!!" but VERY nasty, I know he was panicking but it was barked at me in a very hostile and disrespectful way. I told him later he had upset me and he brushed it off but this isnt the first time he's spoken to me like this, am I over reacting?

you sure it wasnt a hornet? i get them all the time

i'd say you were both a bit freaked out so therefore snapping at each other is understandable

It's not nice when people shout/are harsh but I guess it was an emergency. And like others have said you were both stressed.

I wouldn't fall out over a wasp!
Move on!
