"Dominance"

Do you think a man would be put off a woman who was trained in martial arts?

I remember ages ago I joined a dating site online and in my profile put martial arts down as my interests and hardly got any replies...when I changed my profile I took that bit out and the difference in the number of replies was amazing...do you think they would find it a threat to their "dominance" knowing that "their woman" could "Kick their arse"?

It probably put them off because they pictured someone fairly masculine. I bet if you'd have put that you liked keeping fit it'd have been a whole different story!

Depends on the site. Some men would absolutely love "dominance" from a woman, after all. If you fancy getting into that area you will be overwhelmed with replies. Of course, about the same proportion will be wankers, bucketheads and psychotics as on any other dating site, but there will be nice ones too.

I asked dh about this just now because I was surprised - I would have thought it sounded sexy - and he said he might be scared it meant someone was aggressive and wanted to get into lots of fights.

I love that my dw knows stuff like that. Makes her even sexier to me.

But then I like women who are strong and independant.

Most of the losers on dating sites are looking for stupid simpering women who will date them, as decent women clearly wont.
