I miss female company and people my age I can relate to

I am 52 and have worked in a male dominated field.all my life.I have loved it and had the best time with never a dull moment.I work long hours and unsociable ones too.
Don't get.me wrong I tend to see people as people.regardless of gender or age but I work with people at.least half my age.
Sometimes I feel lonely.DF died last year Dd has left home.I just realized how.I have no one to relate to.
Some new.women with kids have.joined the other dept..I realize how nice it is to relate to women who don't make.toilet humour!.
Is this a midlife.crisis.or do women need female company.Is it too late for me?

I've always loved female company...sounds like you really like the new women so chat to them more? Honestly sounds like you've sorted it out on your own!

I like female company too. Women together often have a good laugh. It's certainly not too late for you, enjoy the company.

Well I think women.are.more compassionate on the whole.I love the men's get on with it attitude and I'm sure this helped.when Df died....no wallowing for me.I can't wait.for the new woman in my dept to start either.She.Is half my age and single.She appears chatty and bubbly like myself
.I get told I'm too talkative and nice ALOT.
Working with alpha males.I'm unsure if I'm hard faced in some ways.13 14 hour days are not for the faint hearted so I hope when I do leave this career I'm not like a fish out of water.
