What is wrong with my flipping MIL

This woman is driving us all nuts. Whenever anyone is poorly in our family she has to go one better.

My 8 mnth old niece is having an op next week all being well, and my DD has a bad case of tonsilitis. So not wanting to be left out she dignosed herself liver problems and called an ambulance yesterday saying she could;nt breathe.

She was discharged after a load of tests and now feels well enough to fly off on holiday on Monday!

She did exactley the same thing in the begining of the year when my niece was diagnosed with a problem and my son was in hospital.

What she can't see is that it is driving her sons away. And me and SIL are getting to the point we can't be bothered to even encourage them to try with her. I even think my FIL may walk away soon as it's taking it's toll on him too.

She has had scans and bloodtests and all sorts and they can't find a thing wrong other than a slightly high cholesterol and and under active thyroid.

Instead of counting her belssings she's using her 'conditions' to set terms on family visits excluding other family members because if they come in the car she has to sit in the back and other stupid things.

She say's SIL is being vindictive because she wont let her look after her GD, but when my SIL did recently MIL didn't change my other DN nappy all day, because her back was bad , So DN spent most of the day running around in a soaking wet nappy and clothes and causing an excma outbreak.

She is absolutely infuriating and exasperating.
