DH penis getting smaller? (serious)

Sososoembarrassed · 12/06/2007 16:39

Have name changed, obviously, for this one .

I have been thinking for a while that DH's penis has got smaller - over the last few years to be honest. I used to reach down and feel quite impressed, but now I feel a little disappointed. It seems smaller in both girth and length (and I am talking outside of me here, by the way), and less stiff, although our sex life is good and it doesn't feel different during actual sex. He is still as keen on sex as ever, and our sex life is fun and frequent.

He has put on a few stone over the last few years, and I think I heard that this can affect blood supply to the penis. He is nearly 40 too - can it get less impressive with age? Is anyone prepared to comment on this?

This is not a wind up at all, I would actually be grateful if anyone has any advice. Obviously I can't say anything to him

you are the one with the wind problem are you?

In seriousness I have also heard that if a man gains weight his penis appears smaller, blood supply etc.

ktmoomoo · 12/06/2007 16:45

awens right ive heard that too

AbRoller · 12/06/2007 16:45

also because the puffy area around the penis puts on weight too making it look and feel smaller.

AbRoller · 12/06/2007 16:47

not in the act obviously cos you've said thats not it but looking at him nekkid or copping a feel.

DominiConnor · 12/06/2007 16:54

There is a condition where the foreskin tightens, had it happen to a mate of mine.

TaylorsMummy · 12/06/2007 17:59

don't know if it's the same thing but i was a nursery assistant and noticed that baby boys that were overweight had tiny looking willys might be the excess weight and tummy etc makes it look smaller

theSelfishMan · 12/06/2007 18:40

get him to do pelvic floor excercises - doing them for a couple of months should improve the blood flow to his penis - improving firmness if nothing else.

InternationalMouseOfMystery · 12/06/2007 18:41

maybe you're just getting bigger...?

Fubsy · 12/06/2007 21:09

Well, I thought this about my almost XP. He seemed to be less hard and therefore smaller during sex, and sometimes I felt as if I was trying to stuff him in rather than him going in easily.

Unfortunately when i tried to bring the subject up, he reacted really badly (I was very tactful but he had a thing about his size anyway) and it was just another nail in the coffin for our relationship.

If your relationship is otherwise good, could you talk about it? it could be a form of impotence - or down to poorer circulation in that area which could be part of a bigger medical problem. The extra weight will certainly not be helping either, maybe he needs to have a bit of an MOT with his GP.

charliecat · 12/06/2007 21:12

PMSL Fubsy, "stuff it in" ROFL

BishyBarneyBee · 12/06/2007 21:13

agree with the excess weight making it appear smaller.

Get him to lose weight and tell him it wil make his willy bigger - focus on the positives!

Fubsy · 12/06/2007 21:33

Well it was true...

Should i have name changed for that post do you think?

sauce · 12/06/2007 21:46

Well if this isn't a reason for millions of overweight men to start laying off the beer & crisps...

SpawnChorus · 12/06/2007 21:47

Hmmm...Could he perhaps have testosterone deficiency / hypogonadism?

ohsmellyjelly · 12/06/2007 21:49

lol sauce

madamez · 12/06/2007 23:04

Well steroid abuse in bodybuilders can lead to cock shrinking (along with all the other side effects like bad skin and homicidal rage). Erm, not wishing to be rude or unkind or anything, but have you had a lot of kids or fanjo surgery or even uterine surgery? (I had uterine surgery in my 20s and it did make a difference to my.. uhm, capacity). If no, maybe your DP should see the GP.

bignbouncy · 13/06/2007 08:01

My x husband's penis definately got less hard when erect as he got older, but then he got less firm everywhere else as well. And when I say older I mean late 30's. What really made this noticable was he was 10 yrs older than me and my new man is 5 yrs younger than me and very fit and toned. Maybe it's just what happens as you get older.
Ps I didn't leave him because he was an inferior specimen, but because he was a lying cheating *

mother2b · 13/06/2007 12:48

APPARENTLY....

Non sexual excitement can shrink your mans willy, so if he watches the game and gets really excited it may be doing the damage. i have heard this several times but cant seem to find any concrete evidence....

so instead enjoy this 'penis manual'

Penis manual

P.s this is why i hate my DP watching his american football - hes a nice (big) size and i dont want him to ruin it

Flower3554 · 13/06/2007 12:52

Well thats the last footie match my Dh watches.

Washersaurus · 13/06/2007 13:09

Ummm Mother2b - can you explain how Richard Branson can shrink penises? I'm confused

SueBaroo · 13/06/2007 13:15

Excitement shrinks penises? Thank goodness we're so dull.

purpleduck · 13/06/2007 13:16

LOL!!! I don't know what man would react nicely to " OMG darling, your penis is shrinking!!!" My dh would throw himself out the window!! Does nhs direct cover these sorts of things!!!

Boco · 13/06/2007 13:19

Have your hands got bigger?

tuesdayb · 13/06/2007 14:31

Goodness, if my DH's gets any smaller he will be in soooooo much trouble

JodieG1 · 13/06/2007 14:33
