Boyfriend and I were watching a daft movie and there was a girl kissing a wolf rather provacatively. He said he wished he was the wolf. I got annoyed! AIBU?

So he said he wished he was the wolf being passionately kissed by this hot blond girl. I took offence! Am I being silly or would this annoy others? Just wanted to know your thoughts

Whisky2014 · 30/09/2018 21:45

Nah actually id have said "me too" ;)

PlinkPlink · 30/09/2018 21:45

Yea give him a taste of his own medicine... seriously.

Did this with my ex. He flew off the handle about it. Didn't do it again after though. Fuckwit 😂

Move2WY · 30/09/2018 21:46

I would laugh too but secretly feel insecure. I think you need to get him back like the pp says.

PinkHeart5914 · 30/09/2018 21:46

Yes your being daft! Do people really get annoyed over this stuff?

SuchAToDo · 30/09/2018 21:47

Why would it annoy you?..you must have issues if you get jealous of your boyfriend liking fictional characters in a movieHmm

BillywilliamV · 30/09/2018 21:48

Oh dear, how old are you? If you are older than 15 then yabu!

AfterSchoolWorry · 30/09/2018 21:48

Ummm, he wished he was a wolf?

WhatAPandemonium · 30/09/2018 21:48

What film was this?!

No I wouldn't be annoyed - so he wants a snog from a hot blonde, who doesn't?

DonnaDarko · 30/09/2018 21:49

DP would say something similar, and I would just laugh it off. But neither of us shy away from admitting that we find an actor particularly hot!

Gettingbackonmyfeet · 30/09/2018 21:51

No it wouldn't annoy me as such I'd roll my eyes and tell him in his dreams mate

However if he regularly makes comments like that it's a bit disrespectful and it's not personally a relationship of put up with

If DP said it frankly I'd be so surprised that he'd noticed her I'd fall off my chair.....but he is remarkably oblivious.....then if say in your dreams mate

Kittykat93 · 30/09/2018 21:51

What film are you watching that shows a woman snogging a wolf?

Sorry to miss the point completely

GoodbyeSummer · 30/09/2018 21:51

I would have possibly taken it to mean that he wished he was being snogged. Not by the blonde woman but just that he wanted a snog. It would have bothered me, anyway.

MysweetAudrina · 30/09/2018 22:07

Could be worse at least he didn't wish he was the girl.

ComtesseDeSpair · 01/10/2018 00:24

I would also like to be kissed by a hot blonde girl, so DP and I would probably laugh and congratulate each other on having good taste. I have excellent self-esteem though, so don’t feel threatened by this sort of thing.

Jealousy is rooted in insecurity: are you insecure about your own looks and worried that him fancying other people means he’d prefer to be with somebody other than you? This is entirely normal if so; but it’s something you need to talk about together so he knows how you feel and why exactly you feel so upset at something so relatively harmless and fantastical.

Hisnamesblaine · 01/10/2018 02:11

Cabin in the woods?

KinCat · 01/10/2018 02:17

Aw I'd laugh about it if I were you, it's only a movie and not a threat to your relationship. It'd be different if he was saying it about someone he had a chance of snogging like a co-worker, friend etc.

I was surprised on holiday when DH pointed out a very fit man for me to ogle. We both admired his muscles. I think ComtesseDeSpair is right that it's an insecurity/confidence thing. My DH is very confident in himself and our relationship so was happy to point out this man.

DryHeave · 01/10/2018 02:21

Was it Cabin in the Woods?

Kennycalmit · 01/10/2018 02:22

Yes you’re being unreasonable

It’s a movie. It’s an actress. I swoon over tom hardy all the time whenever he’s on tv even DP says “oh look there’s your man!”

I would be a bit freaked out if my partner got pissy because I said something about an actor on tv.

Angelf1sh · 01/10/2018 07:22

Yes yabu, it’s a film. Actors don’t count.
