My 79 year old mum has been controlling all my life and is now starting with my teenagers

So- my kids are at Uni but my mum still has a way of upsetting them
She always moans and I am at the point of being sick of it

My nan is like this. She's in her 70s. I tried to go NC with her but the rest of my family still saw her so she was invited to events,etc.

My mum is now NC with her so it's much easier for me and siblings to limit contact. How do your kids have contact with her?

You need to model set boundries with her. If she's controlled you all your life, they are probably complacent to it and just following what they know.

What do you say to her about it?

Your mother can only control you if you let her. End of. You're a grown woman so stop pandering to her.
