Should I go to this stag do?

a very close friend is getting married in a couple of weeks. he's having a low key stag do - night in a pub and then back to our house next weekend. he and dh were very good friends at university. I knew him pretty well throughout university too, but, I only really got to know him and became close to him after I got together with dh in our final year. However that still amounts to a friendship of 16 odd years ( I'm sure maths lies some times...)although this has faded a bit in recent years. Another female friend from university is going to the stag do - but she was very much a friend of the groom all along. A third friend - married to a male university contemporary - and only got to know the groom more recently - has been told by her dh that she shouldn;t go. should I go?

you should go - a (girl)friend of mine went on a stag do recently and had a great time. He is your friend (of 16 years ) so why wouldn't you go and a bit at the other woman being "told" by her DH she shouldn't go ...
