Inspired by another post was wondeirng if anyone has arranged a secret hotel booking for a night/afternoon just to sneak off for bit of peace and quiet (or maybe more). Can you actually book any hotel like this (ie I quite like idea of some of swankier ones as opposed to the holiday inn)

I'll admit I've bought nice underwear for my dh solely for one reason -completely cheesy but it works.

what have other people done that was either a bit naughty or romantic with dh/dp?

I surprised my dh once by meeting him outside his work, having our bag packed, and driving us to a lovely hotel where I'd booked massages and a nice meal! Ds was very small at the time (first overnight stay with grandma!) so after the massages, nice meal and plenty of wine... the only bedroom action we saw was plenty of sleep!
Until the morning that was!

I shall be watching closely for new ideas...

I took dh to hotel for his birthday, was midweek which seemed so much more special too. We had lovely four poster bed, and had relaxing swim/jacuzzi, lovely meal in evening and then had plenty of sex

i'm hoping to book a night in a hotel for DP and I in a month or two. thought i'd pack DS off to FIL's, and we can have a night out with our mates, then go to a hotel in town as a surprise. I should be looking forward to my honeymoon in a couple of weeks more, but DS is coming too!

we have no one to have dc so its either a night in hotel with dc in same room - so we sneak off into the shower. or its candles, m & s dinner with a bottle of bubbly, maybe a game of monogamy (though we play it out way lol) then a proper session with either a film or a massage.

not had a night like that since we been married!!! mmmmmm lol

what's a game of monogamy? (or am I being stupid and missing something )

someone else was suggesting having a playdate party where the various parents coudl take it in turn to use the spare room -sort of like a swingesr party without the swinging...

my dh is very keen for us to recreate our first (sort of)_ date... but with a different ending if you know what I mean.

What a lovely thread , makes a refreshing change. On occasion I like to meet DH straight after he finishes work, when he is in his suit and all, and go for a drink. Bit tricky to arrange, as you need a babysitter, but worth it. In some ways more romantic than setting of from the house together for an evening. Plus you get to bed at a reasonable hour .

This thread has come up at a good time.
Ds going off to Lourdes on a school trip early next month, and Dd going to spend a weekend with my sister. We shall be alone for two nights. For the first time in 12 and a half years!!!
I'm usually a good 'ideas person' but any suggestions for great nights in gratefully received.

leave the kids with gp's while you "nip to the shop" then nip up the nearest quiet road if you struggle with baby sitters like i do you have to make the most of every spare 5 mins.

or dress up in your "school uniform" but finish it of with one of your husbands work ties, everyone will wonder why he is grinning next time he wears it to work.

if you do go for the hotel ideamake sure you have sex in the swimming pool, try and be discreet though me and dh got chucked out of a pool in aviemore once

we got caught having sex on a train station platform once...by a gang of teenagers shouting 'you dirty b*ard' at DP. DP did a bow.

For my birthday this week DH asked a mate from work to watch DD for 2 hours and took me to lunch. While we were there we seriously considered coming home, ordering pizza and locking ourselves in the bedroom!

Actually I once met DH for a drink with a vibrator in my handbag which we used in an alley way on the way home, watching the commuters go by. Did you want filthy or romantic? Sorry to lower the tone. Also I sometimes go to Ann Summers for ridiculous undies which never fail.

DP and i used to pop out after dark when i had nothing on but a smile and boots. He loved that. Not done it since we had a baby though, and moved to a nicer area.

We went a walk on a cliff just before dd was born. It was one of those days that wasn't quite sunny, but not wet either.

We sat & watched the birds for a while and then dh started stroking my back & neck.

the nurse outfit from ann summers is lovely and very flattering, I think there is something about wearing something with a full zip.

go for a drive and get up to no good in the car, we did this once we went for meal I wore a dress with hold up stockings and no knickers he knew this all through the meal, we ended up pulling over at the side of the road 5 mins from home as we were so horny.
