In my hour of need I've called in the 'house police' in the form of a very dear friend (single, busy, no kids!) who is going where angels fear to tread - the kids bedrooms & playroom, she has offered to lifesave this week and she fears (and I know) that I'm drowning!!
She is an old friend who sometimes I never see or speak to for months, but when we meet it's always like yesterday when we were last together - our lives are so different yet we always have so much to say. It's true when you have children you make so many new friends but it's great to keep the old one's too. This is the same friend I had not spoken to for years who, when she found out my dh had been unfaithfull (10+ years ago and no kids) dragged me off to holiday in the sun with the girls. The same friend who was with me on the night my dad died. A diamond ...
