Earlier today, my DH used parental control on my (well his actually) laptop to prevent me from accessing mumsnet. What would you do if your DH/Dp did this?

ViscountessPetitLapin · 21/04/2007 20:45

Possibly divorce. No. Too good. Has to be hung, drawn and quartered!

That is awfully cheeky! (though pretty bloody funny too )

tribpot · 21/04/2007 20:49

Change the BIOS password and refuse to hand it over until he swore never again to withhold MN

plibble · 21/04/2007 20:50

Confiscate one of his toys. What's sauce for the goose...

divastrop · 21/04/2007 20:57

was there a reason why he did it?

divastrop · 21/04/2007 20:59

hang on a minute,do you have to share a laptop/pc?

thats a recipie for disaster in any relationship IMO

BonyM · 21/04/2007 21:04

Hmm, depends really. Did he do it because you are spending time on here which you could/should be spending with him?

I only mumsnet when dh isn't around and I know he'd get really narked if I sat with the laptop all evening rather than talk to him.

Kaloo20 · 21/04/2007 21:07

I'd be livid !

Chocolateface · 21/04/2007 21:08

I'm only on MN when he's wathcing TV, or when the C's are at school, nursery, my mums.He seems to think I should be wathcing TV with him. He also doesn't want me discussing any MN conversations with him! Teh only reason he gave in and told me the password is that he was trying to watch Doctor Who, and I was well, rather annoyed!

I thought dp had done this.... he hadn't actually, we were just struggling with internet connection.

I acted all nonchalant, as if it didn't bother me in the slightest.

He said "I thought you'd have been climbing the walls without mn" and I said "oh no, it's just a hobby, not an addiction, lol"

and he said "lol?" and I said "oops"

BonyM · 21/04/2007 21:09

Oh well, in that case I'd be seriously annoyed with him and we'd probably have a massive row about it...

BonyM · 21/04/2007 21:10

Lol at Squonk's "lol"

ViscountessPetitLapin · 21/04/2007 21:16

Chocolateface · 21/04/2007 21:49

Washersaurus · 21/04/2007 22:04

tee hee, funny squonky

Washersaurus · 21/04/2007 22:06

I'd change all the passwords on the laptop so he couldn't use it at all.

My DH purchased me a new laptop especially for me to mumsnet ebay etc so he could get away with going to the pub more often

divastrop · 22/04/2007 11:17

2 pc's is the only way to go

singingmum · 22/04/2007 11:20

Take the plug off of the TV just before his fav program

Judy1234 · 22/04/2007 11:30

Depends on the nature of your relationship.
