DP and i will be spending our 1st night away from DS in May. We're going to a film festival really, but i fancy tarting myself up for the night in hotel in the hope i get lucky!

Bearing in mind that i'll be 4mths pregnant and i'm showing, and undies ideas? (I don't like Ann Summers stuff BTW)

Also, my legs are relatively short so stocking are a bit of a mare. Not worn them for a few years. I prefer hold-ups- any brands come to mind that are comfy and pretty?

Marks and Spencers hold ups (with thick lace at the top) are gorgeous and comfy and most importantly stay up and don't dig in!

I'd just go for a nice bra and knickers from M&S or Debenhams. How about doing the whole white lacy virginial thing, hair in bunches and white stockings?

PregnantGrrrl · 14/04/2007 13:27

haha! the virginal thing would be rather ironic. and i never wear anything but black really- might be a nice change!

(and my hair is in bunches right now!)

John lewis is great for unusual hold ups (and they don't fall down like the cheaper ones do, lol)

For underwear I like la senza and kinckerbox, and topshop do some really pretty things these days.

Maybe a nice bra/pants and see through cami ( classy not black lace or anything, heehee)

I hope you enjoy yourselves, I know what a difference having a night away from the children makes!.

PregnantGrrrl · 14/04/2007 17:33

i think a cami would be nice too. perhaps i'll have a wander round M & S and see what i find. I always find Topshop knickers a bit tight on my hips TBH.

ooh i'm getting quite excited now!

so excited that i just flashed DP while he cleaning the windows

He heee..sounds like you need this break away together!
I also find topshop underwear a bit uncomfy, and thats not what you want when pg! It may sound a bit 'oldy' but I also got loads of nice cami sets in bhs when pregnant. They have some really pretty stuff and quite cheap too.
