First of all, love is not just a verb, it's a noun too. I don't really see how pointing out what it is grammatically helps!

Trying to sum up what love is in a word is pretty pointless tbh. Love varies as human beings vary. There are many different kinds of loving relationships. And I don't mean it's indefinable in some kind of lofty, ineffable way. It's indefinable because no two relationships are exactly the same.
