DW won't allow me to take DS fishing as she says it's animal cruelty.

DS knows about fishing, etc. and asked if we could go. I fished when I was his age.

DW has said absolutely not. Saying she doesn’t want to encourage him to injure animals.

Surely fish don’t feel pain?

It’s ridiculous, surely? Would you just take him when she is at work?

But most people eat chicken fish and beef...
I’m pro hunting and fishing for food and came on to say you don’t leave the fish gasping...there’s a tool that you use to kill them. What a shame that an island nation with a proud fishing heritage has inhabitants debating taking a child fishing...do you think being on a trauler is a kin to a cruise ship?

Why a shame? We also have a proud Morris dancing heritage but I don’t see anyone up in arms that more of us don’t want to spend our spare time doing that.

Most people who eat chicken or beef don't kill it themselves or snare it, take a quick 'thumbs up' photo then throw it back into the barn or field.

How much could you realistically hunt to eat in the uk?

Fishing is still a worthwhile skill.
As for Morris dansing, I’m sure if someone started a tread my son wants to Morris dance no one would disagree with giving it a try.
