Is this unusually crap or a natural result of having 2 children in the first 2 years of marriage?

I'd say having the 2 children is a great excuse for forgetting..shows what good parents you must be....

You'll have to celebrate now you have remembered though!..(but be careful..you might get child no.3!!!)

Thank you Twinmummy

I think if we had a third child right now we wouldn't make it to a third wedding anniversary....

Who did actually remember first then?
I wouldnt worry too much about it, it is only a date after all, and with busy lives there is so much to think about. Also if you have been living together for a while it is understandable
I just hope you can both have a laugh about it.

We once spent weeks telling people we were about to celebrate our 13th and it wasnt until the night that we both realised that it was only 12!! - had we both really thought it was longer!!

we did something similar, we got married july 10 and the following year sitting out in garden on a lovley sunny day when my mum turned up puffing under the weight of some garden chairs, dh jumped up and rescued her and said" what on earth are you doing with those?" to which she replyed "happy 1st wedding anniversary, now go and help dad with the table." we both looked at each other in an oh dear type manner very grateful to mum tho` still have garden set and its anniversary no 8 this july

Nope, we forget ours every year, I might say to DH 'do you realise we were married for 6 years last week

KathyMCMLXXII · 11/04/2007 21:05

It was me who remembered it and mentioned it but it turned out dh had remembered it but decided the best way to play it was not to say anything
