No, money means having many choices available to you whilst still being there for your children:

The money to go to University and study.
The money to have a live in nanny to pick up the slack when you want to work part time and bring your kids onset when you are working.
The money to pay for a cleaner, ironing done and a chef.
The money to start your own business.

Out of all the options she had available to her, she chose to be a martyr mum.
