My bf of 3 yrs has announced that when he goes on half term holiday with his dds their mum will be going too. Apparently I should trust him. It's just too make his daughters happy. I am overacting by not liking it?

I wouldn't be happy with that - it's not what normally happens, is it?

Has he been on holiday with his daughters without taking their mum along? Have you been on holiday with them?

When was this decided?

MyBrilliantDisguise · 22/09/2017 22:02

I mean whose idea was it?

lookatyourwatchnow · 22/09/2017 22:03

Fuck that

troodiedoo · 22/09/2017 22:04

3 years you say? Fuck that.why aren't you going?

Dontknowwhattothini · 22/09/2017 22:05

Why aren't I going? I wasn't invited.

I would be telling him to pack all his stuff and calling it a day. .

Dontknowwhattothini · 22/09/2017 22:05

She's just split up with her dh.

We don't live together.

Seems to be his idea, she's having a tough time.

No that is just weird. It would be like going on holiday with my eldest daughters dad and leaving my husband at home. I wouldn't consider it at all.

PsychoPumpkin · 22/09/2017 22:08

He seems a little too concerned about his ex and her feelings and not very concerned about all about yours

Mulch · 22/09/2017 22:08

Tough time..

Very crass saying but a shoulder to cry on is a dick to ride on

Says it's to make his dds happy, they are worried about their mum

I think she's finished with her boyfriend and has thought back fondly to old times with your partner. The problem is that he seems to be thinking the same way.

I think it's time for you to part if he's going on holiday with another woman.

C0untDucku1a · 22/09/2017 22:14

Three years and you dont live together? Id be calling it a day after this act of fuckwitery

HarrietD · 22/09/2017 22:15

Depends on your/his relationship with her. IMO he should have asked you first if that would be ok. I think that's a pretty odd thing to do though, don't know of many people who would go on holiday with their ex regardless of children Hmm

MrsRolandRat · 22/09/2017 22:16

I don't know, I take my dd on holiday with her dad my ex. There's nothing at all between us anymore, we've been separated for nearly 4 years now. But we both want to take her abroad and it's hard on your own without the other parent there. Given my dd is only 4.

However I was seeing someone when we took her away once and he didn't like it.

I wouldn't have an issue with it, because I know from our relationship it's completely innocent. We just co-parent well and he's a friend, nothing more.

Dontknowwhattothini · 22/09/2017 22:16

There are valid reasons we aren't living together yet. Plus when we do we have to fit in 4 dc. That's not concerning me, although obviously I would prefer it to be different.

Ruddygreattiger2016 · 22/09/2017 22:17

Blatantly obvious he's not over his ex and wants your blessing to play happy families. God he must think you are bloody stupid to stick around for that.

Dontknowwhattothini · 22/09/2017 22:18

Mrsrolandrat what about when they are older, do you see this happening forever? Has it ever been weird?

Desmondo2016 · 22/09/2017 22:21

Not often I think that ultimatums are wise or necessary but I think for me, this would be a case of 'she doesn't, or I do too'.
