Does my DH fancy my friend?

Maybe you remember my older thread. This is my closest friend, they have a close friendship too. yesterday we went out for drinks the whole evening was somewhat convoluted , but when we got home he said "she's actually good looking, and she knows how to dress too, maybe you should ask her for some tips". WTH???? he claims it was supposed to mean something else, but whatever. Now I'm fairly convinced he likes her in that way.

Because until yesterday, i was pretty certain there was no attraction involved. but i'm sure there is now, so I guess it's the shock of that realization.

Even though you are trying to be tough and act as if you don't give a shit, it is normal that you feel hurt and have been worrying about this for a while now.

You aren't in a relationship where you feel secure and trust your DH, you feel the need to be on guard and protect your feelings. That's not love I'm afraid.

0ccamsRazor · 19/09/2017 13:23

The definition of madness Op is doing the same old shit over and over and expecting different outcomes.

If you enjoy this way of living, great, crack on..... but don't expect people to keep engaging.a

Maybe you're good looking but not that attractive. Certainly come across many of those in my time.

dontbesillyhenry · 19/09/2017 13:27

You obviously know all is not normal or you wouldn't post these threads. But we are grateful you do, so we are under no illusion how smoking hot you are

Guiltybystander · 19/09/2017 13:28

If everyone does whatever they want and you don't care, then why are you here?
Is there anything the charming audience of Mumsnet can do for ya?

Offred · 19/09/2017 13:33

Ok... but everyone told you on the other thread that this whole thing was weird and suspicious and that his behaviour was disrespectful and you were all 'noooo.... he's just like that... I'm hot anyway' and now one this thread it's the same...

I understand you have just realised he is attracted to her after all but you didn't take anything from the last thread and this one looks like it is going to go the same way.

Everything seems to be very heavily based around comparisons of relative physical attraction a really weird and vacuous way too.

It's really weird....

Angelf1sh · 19/09/2017 13:48

I remember your last thread. I commented then that I would be suspicious of any man that told me (apropos of nothing so far as I recall) they definitely didn't find a specific woman attractive. Seemingly I (and everyone else) was right.

He fancies her (at the very least). The question is, what are you going to do about it.

revolution909 · 19/09/2017 14:02

He finally after years of telling him to do so, went for some counselling. Surely that counts for some change? What I get i now is that , the friendship maybe isn't toxic per se but at the very least its incestuous (which was suggested before) but i was blinded. I have some clarity which I guess is good

Oh yes on your other thread you went on about how physically attractive all four of you are and who is better looking than the other and who fancied who. You were really hung up on it and it was weird.

revolution909 · 19/09/2017 14:17

Yeah I know that bit sees iffy/weird to a lot of people. We're all just obsessed about it for different reasons.

OP posts:
Offred · 19/09/2017 14:28

It's not really a benign quirk though... it's coming across as a really pathological obsession with people's physical features and how sexually attracted you all are to each other to the exclusion of everything else.

revolution909 · 19/09/2017 14:42

Also, i apologise in advance I'm having an episode of "obsessive thoughts" they usually go away within 24 hrs. So I might not make a lot of sense. Thank you hormones!

MoosicalDaisy · 19/09/2017 14:56

You should all get a hotel room together, bang out all of your frustrations whilst complimenting each other. If you see what I mean.

PJsAndProsecco · 19/09/2017 15:17

OP you are once again just proving that you're in a very odd, unhealthy relationship and your friendship with these people is also weird. You've just said yourself all four of you obsess over how attractive you all are. That's not normal.

AnyFucker · 19/09/2017 15:27

You again ?

You sounded odd on your last thread about this and things haven't improved much

revolution909 · 19/09/2017 15:27

Not all four of us are obsessed with each other looks... Everybody is obsessed about looks in general , coming from low self-image or the opposite. But between us we never discuss it.

OP posts:
hellsbellsmelons · 19/09/2017 15:33

We're gonna get some cats
Eh?
I can't really get passed this bit.
Because of course cats will solve all your problems???

hopelesslyaddicted · 19/09/2017 15:48

Can someone summarise what the original post was about? Something about the four of them all fancying each other? Confused

PJsAndProsecco · 19/09/2017 15:52

OP this thread is basically just descending into the exact same thread as you posted before. You and your odd friends obsessing about levels of attractiveness.

What's your actual point/question you want help with? It's bizarre.

user1495832265 · 19/09/2017 15:56
Confused
revolution909 · 19/09/2017 16:58

The other one concluded my husband is a controlling bastard. Which he might be? This one is more about the sinking reality that both our marriages are pretty screwed up. Like what game are we playing? Who's at fault? And sorry again, you can ignore me but my hormones are making me all fuzzy.

AfunaMbatata · 19/09/2017 17:04

You really love the drama don't you? why?Confused

Seeyamonday · 19/09/2017 17:05
