Would it be wrong to put my wedding dress in a skip?

Married 10 years. Divorced 7 years. 3 dc. He behaved dreadfully and has put me and dc through hell.

The dress is bagged and hangs on the back of my bedroom door (too big for the wardrobe). I still love it but it is in my face every day.
Will I feel guilty if I skip it?
Two of my dc are girls.
Thanks x

Cash it in and treat yourself to something lovely!!! If you really don't want to lose it could you re-purpose it into some other style dress at all?

Dina1234 · 20/08/2017 15:07

Why don't you sell it?

BritInUS1 · 20/08/2017 15:14

Please consider donating it somewhere. Mine was made into angel gowns x

Charity shop it. Tomorrow.

Mrscropley · 20/08/2017 15:16

Mine cost 2 grand. . Gave it to air ambulance charity van that was passing our house soon after I threw exh out!!
Felt liberated doing both!!

I was in exactly the same situation and sent it to a charity that made gowns for still born babies. (I sobbed when they sent me the beautiful pictures of what they made.)

Loopytiles · 20/08/2017 15:20

Sell, freecycle or donate it.

pp2017 · 20/08/2017 17:23

If heavenly gowns are oversubscribed try cherished gowns for angel babies, that's where mine went x

Aquamarine1029 · 20/08/2017 18:46

I think it would be nice to give it to charity, but it's your dress and you should do what you think is right.

Crumbs1 · 20/08/2017 18:54

Oxfam run a wedding dress shop.

Anxietyreallyblows · 20/08/2017 21:48

I'd sell it.

kennypppppppp · 20/08/2017 22:00

I chucked my wedding photos away. Utter bliss

I'd definitely give the dress to a charity or something or even shorten it and give to somewhere for dressing up??
