Ok ladies and gentlemen what has been your biggest turn off whilst getting to know a new person or partner?

Mine was definitely 'I couldn't be in the same room whilst a lass was giving birth' I still can't get over this

Yuck. Let's hope no one provided him with the opportunity to put that to the test.

HappyGoLucky438 · 19/07/2017 19:50

I couldn't believe what came out of his mouth and tbh he was nothing special in any department don't wanna sound big headed

Many years ago on a first date with a friend of a friend of a colleague type blind date, during the first course of dinner the bloke told me he tended to favour women who had young kids. In addition to his general weirdness and over plucked eyebrows I'm ashamed to say I went to the loo and didn't return.

thewooster · 19/07/2017 19:58

Spitting. Absolutely cannot stand spitters.

TheUpsideDown · 19/07/2017 20:05

I went on a date with a very moody man who had a deep hatred for women!

Sat for 2 hours in a pub listening to him angrily reel off all the times he'd been 'done over' by women.

After he got all that off his chest he asked if I fancied going to a Chinese restaurant "...but you have to pay for your own meal, cos I'm not made oif money like all women seem to think!"

I politely declined.

HappyGoLucky438 · 19/07/2017 20:09

Wow there are some top creeps around
On dates or speaking to a new partner ect you shouldn't bring up ex'
I was seeing a lad who kept saying my ex this my ex that I was that infatuated with him I didn't notice until it was too late
You shouldn't bring old emotions to new relationship but that's my opinion

The guy who wiped his dog's eye-bogies with his bare hands and then didn't immediately wash them. No way José!

HappyGoLucky438 · 19/07/2017 20:18

Bless him for looking after his dog, but definitely questionable personal hygiene ConfusedEnvy

There was a guy I was getting on with really well, he was a bit playful and goofy but generally very fanciable.

Fourth date, we had a picnic in the park and we're messing about and he stuck his finger in my ear and said 'dry willy!' I looked askance and he said

'I'll give you a wet willy later if you play your cards right!'

I couldn't get over it.

HappyGoLucky438 · 19/07/2017 20:22

Confusedthat's kinda funny but cringe at the same time
Thing flirty banter needs to be judged well especially in the early stages

I can't remember if he said wet or dry willy first Grin

Either way, it sounded awful.

GreyCloudsToday · 19/07/2017 20:22

LOL Harriet!! What a charmer.

Vodkalovesme · 19/07/2017 20:31

I had a 1st date a couple of months ago. Its lasted about a hour.. spent most of the time yawning or scrolling through facebook. Didnt let me finish my drink before he said he had to go pick his dad up. Asked if i wanted him to come back to mine when he got back Hmm erm no ta!

HappyGoLucky438 · 19/07/2017 20:48

When I was a teenager on my very first date I went to cineword, he offered to pay which I decline but he was a adamant, we go to the desk chose a film and he paid with a bogof voucher he got from the paper which didn't bother me I was like hmm ok
Bare in mind I just met him after the film he gave me gold bracelet with hearts and matching ear rings, but favs to face I didn't fancy him and couldn't accept long story short we went our separate ways home I looked in my bag and there they were with a note saying wear these on our next date I had to tell him the truth and said I'd meet him to give them back.... he never turned up and I still have them
The keenness scared me

First date, the guy let off an absolutely massive fart. Seriously, a very long, very noisy one. I was really shocked. He said, "This is the me, you can take it or leave it", then explained about his healthy, vegetable juicing regime.

Bitrustyandbusty · 19/07/2017 20:55

^the REAL me

TheUpsideDown · 19/07/2017 20:55

Oh and another... 2nd date, he was picking me up from the train station. He arrived at the station with his hair all over the shop, a creased stained tshirt, old scruffy shorts and some ugly old holey slippers that he'd trodden the backs down on.

He'd had the day off work, which is why we'd chosen this day for the 2nd date, and were meant to be going out for a meal at a fairly classy restaurant. He'd literally climbed out of bed that morning onto his Xbox and hadn't moved until I rang him to say when my train would arrive four him to collect me.

I witnessed his filthy flat as we rushed back for him to chuck on some 'appropriate' clothes (just other creased festering items picked up off the floor).

I was already annoyed and planned on making it a short evening, but still went for the meal as I felt obliged. But then over dinner he gloated at how I'd got glammed up for him saying "wow, you really fancy me don't you!"

I stopped fancying him the moment he arrived at the station looking like the spoawn of Wayne & Waynetta

I went out on a date with an acquaintance once, many years ago. Aside from the fact he never stopped looking at my (covered) chest, he told me he'd filmed porn in his bedroom with two 'sluts' he knew (his words) and when I didn't really respond he said oh that's nothing then told me he'd once jizzed on a girls face who was a 'real filthy bitch'.

RubaDubMum89 · 19/07/2017 20:59

Sorry posted too soon. Safe to say I made my excuses and left ASAP then blocked his number!!

HappyGoLucky438 · 19/07/2017 20:59

Harriet did you date my dh? He's done the "wet willy!" thing to me a few times. If i hadn't already been heavily invested the first time he did that, I would have been a goner.

MaisieDotes · 19/07/2017 21:03

My teenage boyfriend, I think we were about 16. I had very long, thick hair at the time.

Talking to him on the phone one night he said "oh there was lots of your hair on the ground after you went home yesterday."
I said "oh god sorry I must be moulting. Did you have to hoover it?"
To which he replied "no I just put it in a drawer".
I said "Whaa...? Why?"
"Oh it just seemed wrong to throw it away" he says. "I want to keep it".

I was like wtaf and cooled things down pretty rapidly after that.
